Humanities Project Reflection
Our most recent Humanities project did not turn out well at all. I hate to admit it, but I really did not learn that much at all during this project. This was the first Humanities project we completed as a class, and from the way it truned out, I am pretty sure if someone tried to convince us to do another full class project, we would be hard to convince. The project was for each of us to choose a government system to study, learn all about it, then, as if all of us were making a constitution together, study the constitution to come up with questions we could discuss as a group. We would then look up those questions and find the answer that your government system would most likely lean towards if deciding in real life. I don’t want to start talking about faults, but that is some of the resaon the project turned out like this is because the way we formated it, and because of us. It actually was a great idea, but we needed to put maybe more guide lines or something. Also, people come to our discussion unprepared. Some of the fail was my fault too, I chose monarchy to study, and the answers to all of the questions for my and my group was, well the monarch can decide. But, on the side, I did look into communism, I also was one of the few people who watched animal farm, and I also looked at anarchy. So I did learn from that. I did think that studying the U.S. constitution was very educational, and I also now know where to find it if another project comes up and I need it for a reference. I have to say thought, going back to the project and the discussion, I am just going to say that we have some of the most unbelievably frustrating few in our group. Some times it was torture. And looking back, it is kinda a bummer that the project failed. I am looking forward to making this next project really, really good to make up for it. So over all, this was the worst Humanities project I have done so far, but I know that the next one will be more then enough to make up for it.
