The Treacherous Ride
This is a poem I made about a very long road trip we took after the game. It is rather ridiculous and makes no sense, but I had fun making it. And the car ride wasn’t bad at all. Enjoy:
I came tired
and cross
But thankful
it was the other team that had lost
All the food we had to eat
was bagels and cream cheese
We stood through it all
and we still stand quite strait and tall
even through that torturous night
We stood through late parents
that reputations came out to be quite errant
and though it may seem quite apparent
we were hungry tired and cross
We had to deal with traffic
and through all that the conversation got quite graphic
and to ad an affix
we were hungry tired and cross
We had a change of plans
a Lynn was to be dropped off by our hands
at his house
and add another douse
we were hungry tired and cross
And then came the Scott’s
who caught a last minute ride
and to have another thing in with to abide
we were hungry tired and cross
And at last we were home
and when we thought all was swell
yet another thing came up that we had to dwell
I was still quite hungry tired and cross
All I had was a chicken burrito
But alas, I did not eat, and not because of a gross mosquito
It was because all I really needed was a nice hot bath
But, I just took a shower
