Indus Valley Reflection

For this last Humanities project, I was in a group with Maxx and Ruby, and we studied the Indus Valley civilization. All of us love to sing, so after about two days of researching, we decided to make a song. First we all three split up and tried to make our own choruses and then we all came back to divide which one to use. Maxx sounded like a rap that would would put in the middle of a song, so we told him to keep writing it. And we ended up choosing Ruby’s song over mine. So as maxx kept writing his. We continued to write the rest of the some. It started with the chorus, had three 4-lined verses, then had another chorus, then maxx’s rap, another chorus, 4 more lines, then ended with the chorus. I think we put just the right amount of information in the song, and it was hard to do. Pretty much because you have for ever one line of fact, another line of rhyme. So we presented in a way that allows the audience to choose what they wanted to hear about. So first we played the song we recorded. Then, we gave them the lyric sheet and did a live performance. Then we let them ask questions about the lyrics. And that was pretty much our project.

So first I thought that the problem with our project was not the actual project, cause I thought that turned out just fine. I thought our presentation was ehh. I really thought we could have made some sort of system to our presentation, but o well. My main concern was what I learned. I don’t feel like I learned as much as I have on past projects. I really feel like I let myself down. And I don’t get why I didn’t learn as much as I should have. It was really crazy at school at the time of the project. I just don’t know. But I was really disappointed.

I am also worried about the project that we just recently assigned ourselves. I hope I don’t find it to stressful and have it mess up my happiness over the next week and a half. So I think I am going to make 2 really simple projects, so I don’t have to do a lot and I will just learn stuff. So overall I am happy about what I have learned about projects, and how to make sure you live up to your own expectations.
